Participants arrive to Ho Chi Minh City Airport in Ho Chi Minh, on the 14th of April 2011.
From the airport a private bus will pick you up and transport you to the hotel where you are free to tour some of the famous sites of the city including the Opera House, French Quarter, and War Remnants Museum.
Relax and start getting prepared for your journey.
After an early breakfast a representative from our biking partner will brief you on the Vietnam bike tour. Our biking representative will answer itinerary questions, general questions and concerns at this time. After this briefing you will have an opportunity to gather last minute biking items and select your bike for the week.
Later during the evening you will meet fellow participants and have your first taste of authentic Vietnamese food at a local restaurant.
Dinner included
After an early breakfast we will board a bus taking us from HCMC to Ba Ria Vung Tau, and start a morning bike trip to Long Hai (33km) before stopping on the beach for lunch.
We will then continue to Ham Thuan in Phan Thiet (70 km). You will be able to get a restful sleep and rest your legs at a 4 star Resort in Phan Thiet.

This will be one of the most challenging days of the bike trip. After an early breakfast all participants will take off from Ham Thuan Nam to Mui Ne along the beach and then continue to bike to Ca Na Beach (130 km) We will stop for lunch and a rest before continuing to Nha Trang through the coastline road. Along this road will be some hills (roughly 35km) to really challenge your legs!
The night will be spent in Nha Trang, a favorite destination in Vietnam by many tourists. Family and friends not participating on the bike tour will leave early in the morning for Nha Trang with the option of spending the day along Nha Trang Bay, widely considered one of the world’s most beautiful bays shopping , scuba diving or simply sightseeing and meeting up with the cyclists for dinner.

After an early breakfast you will continue your bike trip to Co Ma Hill and down to Dai Lanh beach. We will stop here for lunch and then continue with some hard biking over one of the highest mountains in Vietnam towards Tuy Hoa. Tuy Hoa will be our first stop to visit many of the children your fundraising will greatly impact. You will have time to spend with the children and staff before retiring for the night in your hotel accommodation in Tuy Hoa.
Family and friends will head to Tuy Hoa in the morning and spend the day with the children at the orphanages including games and a shared lunch.

Today you will rest in in order to allow your body to recuperate. After breakfast there will be an opportunity to spend some time with the children before leaving Tuy Hoa for Qui Nhon. The afternoon will be yours for sightseeing with the option of a city tour including a visit to the Buddha Pagoda or Cham Temple. There will also be opportunities to do some shopping and purchase small gifts and trinkets from the local children who often support their families and pay for schooling by working in their free time selling souvenirs to tourists.

Today will be a hard biking day from Qui Nhon to Sa Huynh beach following the rural road. We will bike through hilly terrain. After 5-6 hours you will reach Sa Huynh and enjoy a much deserved meal on the beach with time to relax. After a few hours resting and enjoying the beach, we will head by bus to Quang Ngai and our night accommodation.

From Quang Ngai we will bus to the village where the Quang Ngai My lai massacre occurred and 500 local people were killed in the American (Vietnam) War. We will proceed from the village to Tam Ky and visit the TamKy Baby Orphanage where we will have a special lunch with the children. In the afternoon we will board the bus to get outside of the busy town, then ride the bikes one last time to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hoi An. Upon reaching our final hotel, we will have a Celebration Party and a final dinner together.
Hoi An was a very busy commercial port in the 16th and 17th centuries. Merchants from Japan, China, Holland, India etc came to trade. Almost all of architecture: streets, ports, civil and religious buildings are still intact. You will experience old customs and cultural activities plus traditional handicrafts and famous local specialties.

After breakfast we will spend the morning on a walking tour visiting many of the places that make this city a World Heritage Site including; Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese houses, pagodas, assembly halls and the Japanese Bridge. There will also be an opportunity to visit traditional handicraft workshops and meet some of the artisans. After the city tour, we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant where we can have one last chance to enjoy our accomplishment and say farewell to the friends we made on this trip!

Today you say your final goodbyes to your fellow teammates, and Vietnam. A car or charter bus can be arranged to transport all participants to Da Nang Airport to catch your flights home or to your next destination. Should you wish to stay in Hoi An, we can help you to arrange your accommodation.
