The Global Volunteer Network (GVN) offers volunteer opportunities abroad in 25 community projects throughout the world, as well as 3 treks. Please review the programs listed below, fill out an application form, and we will work with you to make your placement possible.

Africa

Ethiopia Care for children rescued off the street, with a focus on teaching English and mathematics, games, songs and fun activities.
Duration: from 1 month
Kenya Make a difference for under-privileged children and adults in teaching, orphanage, HIV education, and medical projects.
Duration: from 2 weeks
Kilimanjaro Climb Africa's highest mountain and fundraise to help children in Kenya.

Rwanda Facilitate processes to help eradicate poverty, reduce HIV infections, and help communities in capacity building programs.

South Africa (Youth) Assist the social and academic development of young people in Venda and Soweto through teaching and childcare.
Duration: from 2 weeks
Uganda Provide education for AIDS orphans, help families to gain economic independence, and instruct the community about health issues.
Duration: from 2 weeks
Ghana Make a difference in the lives of under-privileged children and adults by providing education and sharing life skills.
Duration: from 1 month
Uganda Tour 2012 Experience Uganda with our 10 day tour which gives participants the opportunity to volunteer as well as take in some of the sights Uganda has to offer.

Costa Rica Become involved in turtle conservation, healthcare, teaching, orphanage and construction programs.
Duration: from 1 week
Ecuador Volunteer at biological reserves from the Galapagos Islands to the Amazon, or in conservation and community projects.
Duration: from 2 weeks
Machu Picchu Join a fundraising hike to Machu Picchu to assist an orphanage outside of Cuzco, Peru.

Panama Orphanage, school, and community outreach projects such as jewellery making, recycling, animal refuge, and a disabled centre.

Peru Get involved in childcare, teaching, construction, healthcare, and conservation projects in the former Inca Empire Peru.

South Dakota Assist in a youth centre on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation to help create a viable future for the Lakota tribe.
Duration: from 2 months
Guatemala Become involved with healthcare, childcare, teaching, construction and animal care in the beautiful city of La Antigua.
Duration: from 1 week

Asia

Cambodia Teach conversational English in a school project and discover the urban Cambodian culture.
Duration: 13 weeks
Nepal Become involved in community aid programs in Nepal, including teaching, building, orphanage care, and health care.
Duration: from 2 weeks
Philippines Join programs in teaching, childcare, reading promotion, and school building and maintenance in the Romblon province.
Duration: from 2 weeks
Thailand Assist in a wildlife or elephant rescue centre feeding, maintaining, and caring for mistreated and domesticated animals.
Duration: from 1 week
Everest Climb the tallest mountain on earth and help Nepali children.

Young at Heart Tour (50+) This tour has been designed for 50+ volunteers who are young at heart and seeking adventure.
May 4 - May 15 2012
Vietnam Youth Tour GVN has the pleasure of announcing our 2012 Youth Tour program. Designed with 15-17 year olds in mind.
July 9 - 18 2012
Vietnam Work with orphans, street children, and disabled children in orphanages and schools, or teach English in Colleges/Universities.

Be The Change Join Be The Change in New Zealand, and be inspired to become a change agent in communities around the world.
