Volunteer Feedback from Machu Picchu

Courtney

"Global Volunteer Network's trip to Machu Picchu was incredible. We spent 4 days hiking through the Peruvian wilderness learning about and then exploring ancient Incan Ruins. The food on the trail was great, as was the company- this trip attracted a diverse and interesting group of socially minded individuals from around the world. Reaching Machu Picchu at sunrise and standing at the sun gate while the sun came up and illuminated what was once a thriving metropolis is something I will never forget.

The best moment of the trip for me was after the hike, when we had the chance to meet the girls at the orphanage for the first time. Seeing how happy they were that we had come to visit them and then to hear the profound thanks of the Head Nun after we built them a new clothing line, are two moments I will always cherish. This trip was a once in a life-time opportunity to see one of the wonders of the world and, more importantly, help 28 very needy kids."

"I loved the trek, the people I met there, the atmosphere during the trek, the guide, the accommodations, the proejcts we worked on. Everything was very well organized and thought through."
